Privacy policy
Vulcan Storage Solutions Ltd. (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and discloses personal information in accordance with Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). This policy explains what we collect through our website, online store and Storage Rental Agreement, and why.
What we collect and why

If you list another person on your Storage Rental Agreement (an authorized user, registered owner or emergency contact), you confirm they have agreed to their information being provided.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run our business, and only as needed:
- Shopify: our online store, checkout and payment processing (Shopify’s privacy policy)
- Appstle: subscription billing and renewal reminder emails
- DocuSign: sending and electronically signing the Storage Rental Agreement, and storing signed copies
- PalGate: app-based gate access at the Vulcan site
- Microsoft 365: email and secure storage of rental records
- Zapier: passing order details between our online store, DocuSign and email
Some of these providers store information outside Alberta or Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws. We may also disclose information when required by law, to collect amounts owing (for example, to a collection agency), or to enforce our Storage Rental Agreement, including under the lien and sale process.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies set by Shopify to run the store, remember your cart and checkout, and measure site traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the store may not work without them. Shopify’s list of cookies is available at shopify.com/legal/cookies.
Marketing emails
We send emails about your rental, such as invoices, renewal reminders and notices. We will only send promotional emails if you agree, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information for as long as your rental is active and afterward only as long as needed for legal, tax and business purposes. We then securely destroy it or make it anonymous.
How we protect it
We use reasonable security safeguards, including restricted access to records and encrypted payment processing through our providers.
Your rights
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us below. You may withdraw consent to some uses, but we may then be unable to continue your rental.
